Located in Golden, the CO School of Mines Residence Hall is slated to open in the Fall of 2020, and will feature 107 suite style dorm units (249 bedrooms). The site will encompass 4,000 square feet of commercial retail space, 8,000 SF of office space, 13,500 of amenity space, and two levels of parking. Given and Associates provided the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design for this facility.
Amenities include multiple social and study lounges on each floor, an on-site fitness center, community gathering spaces, two outside courtyards, a bike maintenance area and laundry facilities.
1750 Jackson Street will be the City of Golden and School of Mine’s first LEED Platinum project utilizing an Integrated Piping System (which employs the domestic hot and cold water to provide space heating and cooling). Other green features of our design include the installation of a 56 KW solar photovoltaic array, and six Level 2 EV chargers.
