Alta Verde is a low-income housing project in Breckenridge, CO that will offer 80 affordable housing units, ranging from one to three bedrooms. The project shall include a total of three (3) two-story walk-up apartment buildings with interior corridors. On-site amenities will include a leasing office, fitness areas, laundry room, a community room with kitchen, and electric charging stations.
Given and Associates provided the HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical design for the project, which includes a split system all electric heat pump the HVAC design. The project will include efficient building design that employs best practices from Zero Energy Ready Homes, passive house strategies and Enterprise Green Communities. The Alta Verde community received ULI Colorado's 2023 Impact Award for Innovation.
