StarRise at North Weld Village is new, multi-family affordable apartment building in Greeley, CO. StarRise is one four-story building with 58 residential units and amenity spaces in 60,000 SF. This is a Permanently Supportive Housing (PSH) project developed with High Plains Development Corp.
Given is providing the MEP design for this new build, included high-efficiency water heaters. This project will be seeking an energy efficient program.
StarRise is highly responsive to the population it serves, and it integrates Trauma-Informed Design principles into all facets of design including programming and space planning. The existing 1934 brick industrial building will include a food pantry, fitness area, maker space, kitchen and open seating as well as housing staff offices and a health provider room. Through enlarged existing openings, the adaptive-reuse portion meshes into the new building lobby. Outdoor decks, spacious laundry areas and well-lit corridors compliment the efficient one-bedroom units and are responsive to the needs of the population.
