The Action Center of Jefferson County is a non-profit organization in Lakewood, CO providing community services to those facing times of hardship. The Action Center assists with food, clothing, job placement, and rent and utility assistance.
The facility consists of a renovated two-story office building totaling 13,000 SF, and the addition of a new 1,000 SF two-story space for a lobby and elevator. Given and Associates provided Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical design services for the new space and the renovation. These designs included replacing the existing single zone rooftop HVAC units with new, more efficient models. Plumbing provisions were made for a break room, and the remodel of the existing toilet cores. Energy-efficient lighting fixtures were selected to compliment the new lighting design.
