Jon graduated from the University of Nevada in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. His career began in the Reno and Las Vegas, NV areas, where he spent eight years on Electrical Design for the Entertainment, Hospitality and Gaming Industries. Jon moved to Colorado in 2012 to join Given and Associates.  He became a Senior Electrical Engineer in 2018, and an Associate in 2022.

Jon is actively involved with leadership and mentoring through the Scout organization. He is also a church and community youth leader.  Through these avenues and others, Jon remains engaged with his wife and their three children.

Responsibilities

Jon is an Associate and Senior Electrical Engineer with oversight experience in Electrical Design as it integrates with all MEP disciplines. He contributes to all project sectors with added focus on Multi-Family and Residential. Jon’s responsibilities include Electrical team leadership, project quality assurance oversight, project coordination, and the training of Electrical team members.

Experience

Jon brings over 15 years of dedicated Electrical Design experience in power, lighting and communication. His early experience in Entertainment and Gaming is accented now by his work on Multi-Family, Residential, Low-Income, Hospitality, Retail, Office, Sustainable Design and other sectors. Project Coordination and Design, in conjunction with team mentoring, make Jon a leader within the field of Electrical Engineering. Jon has recently managed Low-Income projects for Mile High Development and BMC Investments, and has been involved with the New City Housing project in Salt Lake City, UT, as well as other affordable housing design projects.
