Justin’s career started as an Engineering Technician for GROUND Engineering, then evolved to Mechanical Design work in 2007.  Justin joined the Given and Associates team in 2012, where he worked closely with Jeff Given to further his knowledge in Mechanical HVAC Design.  Justin grew into the role of Project Manager in 2016.

Justin was born in Chicago and moved to Colorado with his family in 1989.  He graduated from Utah State in 2004.  Justin enjoys travel, which he does frequently for his clients.  He is an avid snowboarder and cyclist, and also an import car enthusiast.

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Project Manager, Justin is responsible for understanding the clients’ needs and incorporating those needs into the design.  He oversees every aspect of the job process, from the design phase through the construction phase. Justin is tasked to keep up with the latest design standards and requirements, including rigid state health care standards.

Experience

Justin provides over 12 years of Engineering Design experience, and three years of Project Management experience.  While he is accomplished in many sectors, Justin’s early focus centered around Assisted Living / Senior Care. Justin is comfortable ensuring Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) standards.  More recently, Justin’s focus has shifted to Low-Income, Multi-Family and Sustainable Design projects.  He has recently managed projects for the Aurora Housing Authority, and been involved with projects such as the New City Plaza  project in Salt Lake City, UT, the Alta Verde Workforce Housing project in Breckenridge, CO, Smith Ranch LIHTC and Workforce Housing in Silverthorne, CO, and Walden-Gateway Apartments in Denver.
